• DESCRIPTION

The hat is easy to make, with advanced beginner knitters in mind.

Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, knit from a chart, and decrease and shape.

This hat will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather.

Yarn

• 1 x skein of bulky yarn in black
• 1 x skein of bulky yarn brown

Bulky yarn (05)

Needles

8mm (US 11) 16″ circular knitting needles.

Please note – you may have to change your needles for the decreases of the hat if working on the circulars becomes too tight.

This would mean using a set of size 8 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs).

If you do not have those, you could use a 60cm/24″ cable and use the magic loop technique.

Level – Intermediate

This is an intermediate-level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, intarsia, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round.

• SIZING

Men's Medium.

The hat measures approx 10 inches in width at the widest part (the brim) and around 10 or 11 inches long w/out the pom-pom.

Small batch sales of finished pieces made from this pattern are permitted, but the seller must use their own photographs and credit must be given to Handy Little Me as the designer.
