Update after blocking the sweater

Louise, it worked! This is my husband wearing the Aran sweater along with several accessories, I made from your outlander collection. Hats, gloves, and tartan scarf. He now looks like a true Scott.!
Feel free to use the photos for your website. I am tickled to death!
Thank you again for everything,
Catherine

Great Sweater

Louise, thank you for your help. You’ve been wonderful. The last sweater I made was when I was 12 years old. I think I told you that I just started knitting in October, and started this sweater in January. I made this for my husband, but unfortunately it did not fit. He usually wears an extra large. I increased the moss stitches on both sides ans you suggested, and even tried inserting gussets to no avail.
So, it looks like I have made myself a new sweater! It is a bit baggy, but otherwise fits well. I look forward to wearing it on cold winter days.
On to my next project!
Thank you again,
Catherine

I have only done part of the front & I want to try it on him to make sure it is going to fit.
It is not a real complicated pattern but may be harder for a beginner. I really like the pattern

This has been such an informative, detailed and easy pattern to follow. I’ve knit several sweaters in the round, but never really knit any flat, nor have I knit cable before. Nearly done with it now, but it’s worked up amazingly!
