• DESCRIPTION

Channel your inner Sassenach with these elegant fingerless mitts, featuring a striking cable that mimics a classic chevron design.

Perfect for adding a touch of Highland-inspired texture to your knitwear, this pattern is worked using DK yarn and 4 mm (US 6) needles for a snug, cozy fit.

Whether you’re knitting for yourself or as a thoughtful gift, these mitts are a satisfying project that blends tradition with timeless style.

Yarn weight = DK weight yarn (03) / DK / Light Worsted / 8 Ply.
I used 1 x Rowan Alpaca Soft DK in Trench Coat 202 (50g/125m/136 yds) for the gloves knit in the round in the medium size. For the large and extra large sizes, you will need 2 x balls.
I used 1 x Drops Puna in Brown 03 (50g/110m) for the gloves knitted flat in the medium size. For the large and extra large sizes, you will need 2 x balls.

Needles

4 mm (US 6) Knitting needles.
In the round = 4 mm (US 6) 9″ or 16″ circular knitting needles.
You can use DPNs or the magic loop method.
Cable needle.

• SKILLS

Level - Intermediate

This is an easy level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on, casting off, cables and knitting in the round.

• SIZING

Women’s small/medium/large/extra large. In pattern – S (M, L, XL)
Length from wrist to top of hand – Around 9.5 (9.5, 11, 11) inches / 24 (24, 28, 28) cm.
Width (laying flat) – Around 3 (3.5, 4, 4) inches / 7.5 (9, 10, 10) cm.
