Knit with a soft alpaca wool blend, this really is a blanket that you will want to make!

Yarn

Yarn Art Alpine Alpaca (150g/5,28oz/120m/131,23 yds) in the colour brown 432 x 12 skeins

Super bulky substitute yarn suggestion: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick (170g/106yds/97m).

Total yardage needed for the blanket= 1,575yds.

Super Bulky/Super Chunky/18-20 Ply yarn - Knit with two strands together.

Jumbo yarn 07 - Knit with one strand.

Needles

25mm (US 50) Circular knitting needles with a 40-inch cable.

*Please note you will knit back and forth on the circular needles, you will not be joining in the round.*

The circular needles help to take the weight of the blanket as there are many stitches and it gets heavy as it grows!

Skill Level – Basic

This is a basic/beginner level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on, and casting off.

The pattern worked is the broken rib stitch.
